Free Outdoor Yoga in (mostly) Brooklyn This Summer!

If you don’t know first hand, you have definitely heard that yoga is good for you. Not only is it a great way to exercise and build strength without hurting your joints, but it also builds in time for meditation, deep breathing, self-reflection and care for the whole self, body and mind.

You know what else is good for you? Saving money. Yoga is an amazing practice to help with anxiety, stress and sadness and the good news is that if you want to dip your toes in the namaste waters, this summer in NY you can at a very low financial risk.

There are free yoga classes almost every day of the week around Brooklyn and other parts of the city so why not try it ASAP!? You can do yoga every day OUTSIDE FOR FREE without investing in anything but YOURSELF!

MONDAY

What is it: Monday Morning Sunrise Yoga with Abhaya Yoga in Brooklyn Bridge Park
Where: Brooklyn Bridge Park, Pier 6
When: Mondays, 7:30-8:30 am

Other Details: Registration begins at 7 am before each class and you must sign a waiver before you shavasana; Bring a mat (there are a limited number)

TUESDAY

What is it: Yoga in Bryant Park
Where: Bryant Park, Upper Terrace
When: Tuesdays 10:00- 11:00 am
Dates: ends August 27th

Other Details: Registration is encouraged but not mandatory and you can do it here. It is also suggested to get there 15-30 minutes before class starts, especially if you want one of the “first come first serve mats.” All levels welcome!

WEDNESDAY

What is it: Wednesday Evening Sunset Yoga with Dodge YMCA at Brooklyn Bridge Park
Where: Brooklyn Bridge Park, Pier 3 Lawn
